Vegan Split Pea Soup

Recently I have discovered that some people have a fear of split pea soup. I assume they were traumatized as children and forced to eat a flavorless mush that had a baby food consistency and have been scarred forever. But… this is nothing like what people describe to me as their memories of dreaded split pea soup. It is hearty, full of flavor and leaves you feeling warm inside. This is the perfect meal to share with friends and neighbors, served with a french baguette. If you are one of the people who feel hatred towards split pea soup, please give it one more chance! You might just change your mind…

If you would like to make this in a pressure cooker or Instant Pot then try our Nourishing Instant Pot Vegan Split Pea Soup recipe.
